i’m a twenty-something starting this journey called life. i’m getting married in february to my one true love and i have a voice in my head whispering “mission…”
On a quest to find a new worship CD, many folks recommended Misty Edwards from Kansas City. After listening to You Won’t Relent on her myspace page, I was hooked and picked up her latest: Relentless.
To make a long story short, it’s worth it if you are looking for new worship music. It’s amazing musically and lyrically. I highly recommend it.
You Won’t Relent is my favorite. It goes like this:
You won’t relent until You have it all, My heart is Yours
I’ll set You as a seal upon my heart, As a seal upon my arm, For there is love that is as strong as death, Jealousy demanding as the grave, Many waters cannot quench this love
Come be the fire inside of me, Come be the flame upon my heart, come be the fire inside of me, Until You and I are one
The anticipation is perfect in this song. At the very least, it’s wort a listen on her myspace page
As I see elevated traffic at the moment, this video (discovered at [Sam's][1] site) seemed timely. It happens to be my favorite song from the newest [Radiohead][2] CD and the video might just launch into the top spot as favorite [Radiohead][2] song ever. Check it out, and think on the lyrics for a few moments:
>I am the next act waiting in the wings, I am an animal trapped in your hot car, I am all the days that you choose to ignore
>You are all I need, You are all I need, I am in the middle of your picture, Lying in the reeds
Sunday night at house church we spent quite a bit of time as a group praying for trust — that we would trust in God, that we would trust in His promises and what He is doing among us. On the way home afterwards, “Quicksand” by Sleeping at Last came on the iPod. It’s curious is quite simple, yet quite fitting after our time spent praying:
Trust is quicksand, Claiming everything I have, All to give me life, all to give me life…
