Busy Weekend
This past weekend was incredibly busy (but very good). Started it off on Friday with a trip to Tulsa to goto a wedding. Brady rode with me on the way there and about a mile on the highway we came to a dead stop because of an accident. We then proceeded to move about 2 miles in the span of an hour. After breaking through the traffic, we booked it and just barely made the wedding (they closed the books right after we walked in). Luckily my lovely girlfriend was already there, saving me a seat. We then enjoyed one of the better ceremonies I’ve been to (Drew did an excellent job and the music choice was perfect…walking into Sigur Ros was an excellent idea) followed by a long evening of dancing (intermingled with deep talks of theology and such). Juli then accompanied me for the long drive back to Norman (which thankfully was uneventful).
On Saturday I slept in (having gotten back quite late the night before), got up and got ready and then picked up Juli to go see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at the Warren Theatre in Moore. My old college roommates ended up in the same showing which was fun as we all got to sit together. After that, I ran errands and then we headed over to Daniel and Jennie’s for a goodbye BBQ for them involving previously mentioned college roommates (They are moving to NYC for a couple of years). Starting at 5, I didn’t actually get away from the BBQ until 2am, as much fun was had.
On Sunday, I met said folks for lunch at BJ’s and then dessert at Rusty’s and then trekked over to Chris’ apartment to catch last weeks episode of Battlestar Galactica (this season is fantastic!) and then church at 5. After church, went to the library for dinner and then to Juli’s house to watch Sense and Sensibility, which is one of her favorite movies. I think it’ll take future viewings to fully get it as I was a bit tired and the British accents were throwing me off. It did have a younger Dr. House in it though, which was definitely a plus.
And there you have it: A busy weekend in three paragraphs.

Even House can’t save a movie like that…
